Arnold School serves families along the NW 48th Street corridor. The
enrollment for Pre-K through Grade 5 was 607 for the 2007-08 school
year. 36% of Arnold students represent minority populations and 63.6%
participate in the free and reduced lunch program.

Arnold School is organized into grade level and instructional teams that
work as professional learning communities to meet the learning needs of
all students. Support programs at Arnold include: specialists, ELL,
special education, Head Start and instructional support for reading,
writing and math. Learning is extended beyond the school day through the
Arnold Community Learning Center program provided in partnership with
the Lincoln Housing Authority, Cedar's family Services and Lincoln Parks
& Recreation.

This year Arnold School received the GOLD STAR SCHOOL Award based on
collaborative teaming efforts resulting in consistent positive growth in
reading and math achievement.
