The school district of Blair encompasses over 142 square miles in northern Washington County including the city of Blair. Student enrollment PK-12 exceeds 2,360 students. Over 177 certified and 137 support staff are employed.
Blair is one of the 25 largest school districts in the State of Nebraska and maintains the highest accreditation from the Nebraska State Department of Education, as well as membership in the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges. In November 2006, a $19.6 million Bond Issue provided for extensive renovation and building within the District. Blair High School received the prestigious Secondary School Recognition Award for Excellence from the U.S. Department of Education in 1989.
The District grade level configuration includes four Primary Centers, (grades PK-3), an Intermediate Center at Arbor Park (grades 4-5), Gerald Otte Blair Middle School (grades 6-8) and Blair High School (grades 9-12).
