The Columbus Public School District features six new or remodeled elementary facilities. The elementary schools serve 1,473 students in grades K-5, middle school houses 828 students in grades 6-8, and the high school 1,165 students in grades 9-12.

The middle school provides high track courses for eighth-graders in math, science and foreign language along with core classes offered at a variety of levels to meet students' needs.

The high school offers Advanced Placement Classes (AP) in American Studies, English, Calculus, Physics and Psychology, college placement classes, four years of German and Spanish, a wide variety of industrial technology classes, and many fine arts classes such as band, vocal music and theater.

A continuum of Special Education services and programs are provided to meet individual student needs. Children receive services in regular education classrooms and in self-contained settings as determined by each child's individualized educational plan.
